Sure, it's only Spring but it's not too soon to begin thinking about reducing your property tax assessement.  In the Philadelphia area, including Montgomery, Bucks, Delaware and Chester counties the deadlines for filing a tax appeal are drawing nearer.

The deadlines for the Philadelphia Five County region are:

Philadelphia

October 1, 2010 *

Montgomery

September 1, 2010

Bucks

August 1, 2010

Chester

August 1, 2010

Delaware

August 1, 2010

* Please note that the Board of Revision of Taxes for the City of Philadelphia is in, for the lack of a better term, a state of flux.  The BRT has been dissolved and it is uncertain at this point how the City of Philadelphia will proceed with tax assessment issues.  Please visit this blog for the latest updates on Philadelphia's assessment initiatives, including the full valuation intiative.
